I know it’s been a while since I last been here, but my life has seriously been hijacked for the past few months with some life changing events! Am starting to try to slowly get back on track with my duties an here goes another one of my latest 60 seconds Dynamic Portraits! I personally simply adore this one. It’s raw-ness is out of this world!!! Aahahahahha! Enjoy! 60 seconds Dynamic Portrait – Tom Benzon “Musician”
I’m leaving tomorrow to sunny and beautiful Ireland. Destination: Fairhead!
“Fair Head (Irish: an Bhinn Mhór) is a rocky headland at the north-eastern corner of Northern Ireland, in County Antrim. It lies 3 miles (5 km) east of Ballycastle town, and is the closest part of the mainland to Rathlin Island. It is a very highly-regarded rock-climbing location, and is believed to be the biggest expanse of climbable rock in either Ireland or Britain.”
It’s been a long time I wanted to go and discover this island. Once again following the UK highline scenario with, my now big friend, Nadeem Al-khafaji. Some promising opportunities ahead. Highline project, trad climbing meet with some of the best in the UK and maybe even some soaring speedflying sessions! Keep tuned! 🙂
Well, in case you have been living in another planet or you haven’t heard, British Stuntman and BASE jumper Gary Connery is about to attempt the first wingsuit landing without opening a parachute, in the world.
If this doesn’t seem EPIC for you, you might need to revise your standards. In a world where pretty much all the frontiers have been conquered by man, this one seems to remain one of the last feats and long time dreams of man to be accomplished.
Portraited in the nice picture here on the side is Gary Connery in his long wait for the British weather window that will allow him to make history.
As part of my of my photography and video projects for this year I have been in negotiations with Mrs. & Mr. Connery in an attempt to make a feature documentary that would capture the essence of the man behind this attempt. Next Thursday the 17th of May, 19:30-21:30, I will be giving a talk on Adventure and Travel photography for the Cardiff Camera Club. The scope of the talk will be mainly focused in so many stories behind the images taken over the last 10 years but I intend also to share some of the techniques used, camera angles, special equipment, off camera lighting and any other technical bits that the audience might want to discuss. Hope to see you there! 🙂 For any additional information please contact the Cardiff Camera Club on http://www.cardiffcameraclub.co.uk/
Ohhh my goooodddd!! Not that I’m that religious, but that is another long story!! Sometimes I just wish I was a genius like Leonardo da Vinci (one of my heroes by the way!) and that it would still be possible to be “the master” at the universal knowledge! 🙁 Unfortunately those times are long gone and the diverse range of trades and areas of scientific or less scientific knowledge have diverged in an infinite pattern of different paths, that it has become virtual impossible to be good at everything. If you are like me and could use a hand at configuring some social media buttons, click on for the jump… Continue reading Social Media Buttons and Blog Customizations
